About LIFECYCLZ
LIFECYCLZ (the brand) was born in 2015, when young artist Jessica Oppert started an Instagram account with the name. At the time, she had just made the account to share her artwork with friends and family. Lifecyclz is now a handle that umbrellas the many different art forms that Jess does. Born in Connecticut, she has been inspired by the nature and changing seasons from the New England environment. In her paintings, she is drawn to subjects that display the polarity of life and death, and prefers to explore this idea in her artwork. She believes that death is not a single endpoint but rather death and life coexist in every moment. Her artwork is known for its anti-gravity effect, using flowing lines and fine details to bring viewers to a place otherworldly. With her art she reaches for people who feel lost or out-of-place in this world, giving them a place to call home.
Jess began making a name for her artwork in the local Providence area, doing live large scale painting at popular providence events such as PVD fest and water fire, but had moved into the art form of tattooing in 2020.
Jess now works with clients one-on-one to create unique and elegant pieces of artwork that can be worn on their bodies for a lifetime. Her tattoos focus on flow and working with each client’s anatomy to create a piece of art that is tailored to them specifically. While keeping the fine lines and flowing details that are signature to her art style, she creates bold tattoo designs with heavy contrast that will stand the test of time. Jess works tirelessly to bring fine art and delicateness into the hard world of tattooing. She believes in a thoughtful and gentle approach to create timeless and sophisticated tattoos.
