TATTOO POLICIES

Thank you for your interest in getting tattooed!

I’m continuously taking on new projects and really excited to be doing so! Because every tattoo artist is different in the way that they run things, I thought it would be helpful to write a page of my personal tattoo process and policies.

I PROJECTS I ACCEPT / DO NOT ACCEPT

As with most artists, creative freedom is highly valued. I really enjoy taking on custom projects of specific subject matter, and any project that allows room for artistic taste and creative freedom are appreciated!

Unfortunately, my style does not work with every request that I receive. I am confident that I know the ideas that I can tattoo well and the ideas that would be better off with another artist. I believe it is my job to only put tattoos that I am confident in on people!  If I don't believe that I can deliver a product I am happy with I will decline the project or recommend another artist.

TATTOOS I DO NOT ACCEPT RIGHT NOW:

-micro realism

- Full color tattoos

- armband tattoos

- celebrity or family portraits

- line art tattoos

-small or simple tattoos such as butterflies, quotes, infinity symbols

-geometric tattoos

I am not currently tattooing throats, necks, fingers/knuckles, palms, or faces.

Tattoos I accept:

I am open to most black and gray illustrative work. I’m really not picky with subject matter. All tattoos will be drawn in “my style” reguardless of subject matter.

I am drawn especially to concepts that include-

  • witchy elements (antlers, crystals, eyes, etc)

  • Surrealist elements (multiple eyes, heads, limbs / things cut in half / etc)

  • demons/ oni masks

  • Skulls of any type

  • common Neotraditional/ traditional tattoo elements (torches, lanterns, poison bottles, reapers etc)

  • Lady hands

  • Illustrative animals

DESIGN PROCESS:

Tattoo designs are drawn custom to each client. I do not copy other artist’s tattoos or artwork. During the booking process it’s encouraged to include reference photos to draw inspiration from, however these photos will not be copied directly. Sometimes it is helpful to come in for a consultation to clarify and talk more about the design.

Tattoo designs can take anywhere from 3-10 (or more) hours to create. I ask my clients to keep in mind that this is all done in my free time outside of shop hours. The hourly rate for your tattoo takes into account the numerous hours of drawing and preparation that is put into each tattoo.

you will see your design the day of the appointment at the scheduled appointment time. Revisions, if necessary, will be made at the time of the appointment.  If they are drastic, a reschedule will be needed. (this is why it is very important to be as clear as possible when explaining your tattoo idea/expectations.)

How long will my tattoo take?

Most tattoos at any size take anywhere from 5-8+ hours to complete. The bigger or more detailed the tattoo is, the longer it will take. Small but detailed tattoos can take just as long as large ones. Because of my art style, the tattoos I do are typically heavily detailed. If you have a low pain tolerance or a hard time sitting for multiple hours, you may want to consider breaking your tattoo into two or more sessions. Some projects are extensive and will take multiple sessions to complete. Please be prepared for this!

I welcome the use of numbing products but encourage you to do a patch test on yourself prior to the day of the appointment. I can not tattoo on any skin that has a rash or irritation.

Please be sure to eat prior to your appointment and feel free to bring any snacks and beverages you would like to have. I am a natural talker, and as much as I love to chat with my clients, sometimes that can slow down my tattooing process or distract my focus. Feel free to bring headphones or any other form of entertainment you'd like to have!

I don’t mind if you bring a guest with you, just keep in mind that getting tattooed can be a long and boring process for your company.

Tattoos are always done with the highest grade professional equipment. Aftercare will be discussed after the tattoo is complete. If you have any questions about the tattoo process, please feel welcomed to call or email the shop at any time.

PRICING:

My hourly rate is 200$/hr. tattoos that require an extensive stenciling process or redesign will also be charged hourly during the stenciling/redesign process. Tattoos are booked in half day or full day slots. Half day slots are 600-800$ while full day slots are 1200-1400$.
